Ichthyosaur vertebra from the sea bed. Approx. 45m. deep, around Portland Dorset. Good detail around outside edge, some wear to edges, front and back. But it is still an impressive addition to a fossil collection. The white bits are from modern day sea creatures, such as tube worms, which had totally encrusted the bone. In your workshop, we removed most of the white stuff, but left the very difficults bits as it may cause more damage to the bone than necessary. Postage included for UK customers.
Age: 160 million/Kimmeridge Clay.
Size: Approx 8cm. across x 3.5cm. deep
Location: Portland, Dorest, UK
