Ichthyosaur vertebra from the sea bed. Approx. 45m. deep, around Portland Dorset. There are 3 small chips, with some damage from modern day sea creasures boring into back and front faces. Good detail around outside. The white bits are from modern day sea creatures, such as tube worms, which had totally encrusted the bone. In your workshop, we removed most of the white stuff, but left the very difficults bits as it may cause more damage to the bone than necessary. Postage included for UK customers.
Age: 160 million/Kimmeridge Clay.
Size: Approx 8cm. across x 3cm. deep
Location: Portland, Dorest, UK
